So first of all, where is GRR located on the DMAIIC Road Map?
The GRR Tool resides in the MEASURE PHASE. In MEASURE, we collect data about the current state of the problem we are trying to solve.
This means we must:
Measure both the “x”s and the “Y”s of our process.
In practical terms, this means we are “converting the problem into data.”
Once we have data to work with, we can then use statistical tools to lead us in the right direction toward solving the problem at hand.
